Dr. Ann Bindra is a Regional Magnet Program Director/Senior Clinical Practice Nurse II for Kaiser Permanente Northern California at the Nurse Scholars Academy. With more than a decade of nursing leadership experience, Dr. Bindra partners with nurse leaders, professional governance councils, and clinical teams to advance nursing excellence, professional practice, workforce engagement, scholarly inquiry, and Magnet® principles across KP NCAL.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bindra has held leadership roles spanning clinical practice, nursing professional development, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and professional practice advancement. She is passionate about creating environments where nurses can thrive, lead, innovate, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Dr. Bindra earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is board-certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC). She has dedicated her professional work to strengthening structures that support nursing excellence, evidence-based practice, shared governance, and the advancement of professional nursing practice. Her interests include leadership development, transformational leadership, nursing professional governance, Magnet designation, workforce well-being, and the integration of Caring Science into healthcare environments.
As a KP-Caring Science Certified Educator Program (KP-CCEP) Faculty member, Dr. Bindra is committed to advancing the principles of Caring Science throughout Kaiser Permanente. She views Caring Science as both a philosophy and a practical framework that fosters authentic relationships, human connection, healing environments, and meaningful professional practice. Through teaching, mentoring, and coaching, she supports caregivers in cultivating compassionate leadership and caring-healing practices that benefit patients, families, colleagues, and communities.
Dr. Bindra is passionate about helping nurses discover their voice, strengthen their leadership capabilities, and connect their everyday work to a larger purpose of healing and human caring.
