“We were 30,000 women from Israel and Palestine with some men and many kids first walking in the desert, then marching through Jerusalem-demanding our governments to bring peace. It is a non-partisan movement (I.e.religious and secular, left center and right). Our group of Middle-East Nurses marched under a banner of ‘Peace is Healthy.’ It was incredible.” ~Miriam Hirschfeld

Tourism Opportunity

We would like to present you with an opportunity to participate in a personal tour of the area before or after your attendance at the Middle Eastern Nurses Conference ‘Uniting in Human Caring’.

Dallas Smith — participant in previous and upcoming conference:

Seven years ago, on my first trip to Jordan, I went online to a tour company and arranged for a driver/guide to meet my wife and me in Amman. That led to my becoming friends with, Mazen, an experienced driver/guide, who on that first and subsequent Jordan visits took me to Petra (one of the most amazing historic stone carvings in the world) and to Wadi Rum (the incredible desert area that represented Mars in the movie The Martian). Both these sites are only a couple of hours from Aqaba. Mazen will be available before, during, and after the February conference. His pricing is very reasonable. First come first served for booking his services. However, he can hire additional drivers in the event of more tourists than he can personally handle.

I will be Mazen’s American “tour coordinator.” So anyone who is interested should email me, Dallas Smith, at oscardallassmith@gmail.com.

Send me your phone number, and I’ll call you back to discuss details. I look forward to seeing everyone in Aqaba.
