Baby Lyn is a dedicated Registered Nurse with 37 years of clinical and leadership experience. In 2013, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. Her leadership style combines transformational, authentic, resilient, and servant leadership. She joined Kaiser Permanente in 2017.
In October 2023, Baby Lyn became a Caritas Coach, shortly after receiving certification as a HeartMath Trainer. She is committed to transforming healthcare delivery by integrating the principles of Caring Science. Baby Lyn believes that both Caritas principles and HeartMath techniques can lead to transformative changes within the healthcare setting.
As a graduate of the Caritas Coach Education Program (CCEP), Baby Lyn has developed a profound understanding of human caring, cultivated self-awareness, and adopted a Caritas consciousness. She is dedicated to promoting micro-practices that foster mindfulness, self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-love. She emphasizes the importance of pausing and employing HeartMath techniques to create a healing environment.
Serving as the manager of two units—Med-Surg Telemetry and ICU—in South San Francisco, Baby Lyn has shared strategies with healthcare providers to decrease burnout and enhance compassion satisfaction. She is devoted to integrating Caring Science into professional practice and has led the Caring Science Series at Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco.
