About the Watson Caring Science Lotus Recognition Program

Intended Audience

This recognition is for hospitals, care homes, or other caring mission led organizations. It is open to unit, department, identified practice area, or program level within an organization. It is not for individuals, but for groups of people.

Applicants will demonstrate their commitment to Watson’s Caring Science Theory via their Practice or what we call ‘Praxis’. WCSI’s definition of Praxis means: to demonstrate exemplary informed loving kindness within your work.

Application Process

We have made this application process in alignment with our values. We want to capture your work in an easy, accessible, and plain language manner. We’ll ask you for qualitative and quantitative information. This will provide rich data for future research into the value of Watson’s Caring Science and contribute to the field of healthcare and how we care for ourselves and each other.

Thank you for applying!
