Abdel Yosef, PhD, MSN, CNE

Dr. Abdel Yosef is a visionary Caring Science leader and innovative entrepreneur with over a decade of transformative academic leadership as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Unitek Learning. He oversees Unitek College, Eagle Gate College, Provo College, and Brookline College—spanning 17 campuses across California, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, and New Mexico—along with multiple micro-sites strategically located within clinical partner hospitals to enhance access to nursing education and workforce integration.

A passionate advocate for holistic, relationship-centered education, Dr. Yosef serves as a board member and Treasurer of the Watson Caring Science Institute, reflecting his commitment to advancing the principles of Caring Science in both academic and healthcare environments.

As a leader in academic-practice partnerships, Dr. Yosef has forged innovative collaborations with healthcare systems to align nursing education with real-world workforce needs. These partnerships have enhanced access to quality healthcare by increasing the pipeline of well-prepared nurses and improving health equity and community outcomes.

Dr. Yosef is nationally recognized for his expertise in nursing and healthcare education, accreditation standards (CCNE, ACEN, CNEA), regulatory compliance, and boards of nursing governance. A strategic driver of institutional growth, he has spearheaded the expansion of Unitek Learning’s campuses and programs to meet critical workforce demands—especially in underserved communities and education deserts.

In addition, Dr. Yosef is actively engaged in international nursing collaboration and global training initiatives aimed at strengthening nursing education capacity worldwide. His work includes cross-border academic partnerships, global faculty development, and culturally responsive nursing curriculum design, reflecting his commitment to elevating nursing practice on a global scale.

His prior leadership roles include President of California Career Institute, Chief Financial Officer of the California School of Health Sciences, and faculty member at California State University. These diverse experiences reflect his dynamic blend of academic vision, operational excellence, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Dr. Yosef earned his BSN from Jordan University of Science and Technology, his MSN from Georgetown University, and his PhD in Nursing Education from the University of San Diego.
