Bernice Yale is a dedicated Nurse Manager leading the medical-surgical unit at Kaiser San Jose Medical Center. With a strong commitment to compassionate care and clinical excellence, Bernice brings over a decade of leadership and bedside experience to her role. Since 2014, she has been a Certified Caritas Coach®, applying Dr. Jean Watson’s Caring Science theory to foster a healing and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Bernice carries the spirit of the East Coast with her to San Jose, California, where she currently resides. The events of her life have led to her chosen career path. Bernice has been passionate about caring for patients and families since high school. She is advancing her professional journey by pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Leadership at the University of San Francisco.
Outside of her professional life, Bernice is a proud mother of three daughters and finds joy in traveling, hiking scenic trails, and swimming. Her personal and professional life reflect a deep commitment to well-being, resilience, and lifelong learning.
