Elizabeth Bigby is the Nursing Operations Director at Kaiser Permanente, Vacaville, with oversight of financial and hospital operations. She has over thirty years of nursing experience, including neonatal intensive care, quality improvement, project and program management, clinical education, clinical informatics and nursing leadership. Throughout her career, she has held heart at the center of all she does and has sought to ensure that all feel loved and cared for, leading her to become a Caritas Coach and certified HeartMath instructor. She also co-founded and supports the staff-led Caring Council at her facility.
Elizabeth earned her bachelor of science in nursing at California State University, East Bay, her master of science in nursing at the University of Phoenix, and her doctorate in nursing practice with a focus in executive leadership at the University of San Francisco. She is board certified in Executive Nursing Practice by the American Organization of Nurse Leaders and is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the Association for California Nurse Leaders. She is a board member of the Sacramento Sierra Nurse Leaders chapter of the Association for California Nurse Leaders and is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
