Gwendolyn Ekeh, RN, BSN, Caritas Coach®, is an experienced registered nurse, educator, and holistic wellness advocate with more than 25 years of acute-care nursing experience. Her practice is grounded in Jean Watson’s Caring Science and a commitment to caring for the mind, body, and spirit.
Gwendolyn creates nurse-led caring-healing experiences that integrate authentic presence, mindfulness, breath work, positive affirmations, therapeutic touch, gentle lymphatic support, meditation, and healing sound. She developed Our Nurturing Circle, an oncology Caritas initiative designed to reduce fear and anxiety while helping patients feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. She also created restorative Caring Experience sessions, interdisciplinary wellness education, and a hospital-wide Wellness Cart initiative to support healthcare workers’ resilience and well-being.
A recipient of the University of North Alabama Florence Nightingale Award, Gwendolyn was also mentioned and featured for developing her Caritas-centered Wellness Cart when Oakland Kaiser Permanente received the Lotus Award. She is passionate about transforming healthcare through compassionate leadership, meaningful human connection, and intentional caring-healing practices.
