Kellie J. Allen is a Senior Professional Development Nurse with more than 38 years of nursing experience spanning cardiac care, case management, quality improvement, home care, and hospice services. For the past 11 years, she has served at Kaiser Permanente, where she supports the professional growth and development of healthcare teams through nursing education, simulation, and evidence-based practice.
Kellie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Sonoma State University. She holds multiple professional certifications, including Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Certified HeartMath® Trainer, and Caritas Caring Science Coach.
Passionate about fostering resilience, well-being, and compassionate care, Kellie integrates HeartMath and Caring Science principles into educational programs that support clinicians in delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Outside of her professional role, Kellie lives in San Rafael, California, with her husband and their cats. She is also a professional musician who enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new adventures both near and far.
