Rayne Soriano’s 27-year career at Kaiser Permanente showcases his dedication to nursing education, informatics, and practice. As the Regional Director of Professional Excellence at the Caring Science Academy and KP Scholars Academy, he leads initiatives in professional practice, academic progression, research, evidence-based programs, and education.
Previously, as the Hawaii Regional Director of Operations and Nursing Professional Practice, Rayne managed Nursing Practice, Informatics, and Education across Inpatient and Ambulatory settings. He enhanced emergency department dispositions and developed Care Without Delay pathways. In his role as Director of the NCAL Medicare Operations Leads Program, he improved elderly patient care. As the Manager of Clinical Informatics, Rayne collaborated on technology and innovation initiatives.
Rayne has over 10 years of emergency department experience and holds certifications in Performance Improvement, Strategic Leadership, and Advanced Management. He is a Caritas Coach, Caritas Faculty, and Certified HeartMath© instructor and President Elect of American Organization of Nurse Leaders in Hawaii, teaching in Master’s programs at Chamberlain University and the University of San Francisco.
Rayne holds a BSN from the University of San Francisco, an MS in Nursing Education from Sacramento State University, and a Ph.D. in Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership from UC Davis. He mentors graduate students, speaks at conferences, publishes, and is a devoted husband and father of three.
