Dr. Ahmed is a Watson Caring Science Postdoc Scholar and Caritas Coach®. Seeking to advance a healthcare system which fosters inclusivity and addresses social determinants of health, Stephanie’s post-doctoral work is underpinned by Watson’s Human Caring Theory and Levinassian ethics; The Ethic of Face and The Ethic of Belonging.

An executive nurse leader with over 20 years of progressive healthcare experience, Ahmed is passionate about nursing’s role to address contemporary healthcare challenges, including; access, quality and the human experience of care. An innovative thinker, Ahmed brings experience in advanced nursing practice, care redesign and clinical effectiveness. She has served in the capacity of Magnet Program Director and has held key roles advancing practice, professional development and quality. A clinician and scholar, Dr. Ahmed is editor and contributing author to DNP Education, Practice, and Policy:  Mastering the DNP Essentials for Advanced Nursing Practice.
