Caritas Coach Education Program (CCEP)
The Caritas Coach Education Program (CCEP) was developed in 2009 by Dr. Jean Watson and Faculty Associates of Watson Caring Science Institute (WCSI). It is a formal, dynamic six-month, intellectual-experiential learning experience that begins and ends with a two-day, in-person intensive seminar (April & October). The in-person intensive is combined with participation in an Online Community of Caring. It includes personal mentoring with distinguished faculty who are experts in Watson’s Human Caring Theory and Caritas practices.
In 2015, the WCSI Caritas Coach Educational Program was relocated to the Watson Caring Science Center at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. The continuing program extends the implementation of student support in developing/implementing projects that translate the 10 Caritas Processes™ into personal/professional daily living and professional practice.
CCEP is accredited as a Nursing Skills Competency Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Graduates receive contact hours through the University of Colorado College of Nursing.
Please visit the Watson Caring Science Center for more information.
Caritas Nurse™ is trademarked to give distinction to the nature of a ‘Caritas Nurse’, and the unique approaches s/he brings to human caring and the whole person.
