Watson Caring Science Institute Caritas Coach®
  Caritas Colleague

I began my nursing career in 2004 after earning an associate degree in nursing from Merritt College, which laid the foundation for my work in healthcare. To further advance my knowledge and expertise, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix, both completed in 2010. Most recently, I achieved my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Capella University in 2023.

My professional journey spans more than two decades as a registered nurse. I began in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit at Kaiser Permanente, where I developed strong clinical skills and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. I later transitioned to the Critical Care Unit at Alameda Hospital, a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that strengthened my ability to deliver quality care under pressure. Currently, I serve as the Nursing Professional Development Director for the Central Valley Area, and I am also an adjunct faculty member at San Joaquin Delta College. In addition, I am a Caritas Coach, KP CCEP Faculty, and a proud recipient of the Daisy Award (2011).

On a personal note, I am married and a proud mother of two—my daughter, age 25, and my son, age 18. Family is an important part of my life, and I cherish the time we spend together. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through hiking, hot yoga, and traveling. I am also an enthusiastic supporter of my son’s athletic pursuits and rarely miss the opportunity to cheer him on at his games.
