Susan Chiocchi began working with the human energy field almost forty years ago in meditation. Her personal studies led to a year-and-a-half of training in Reiki culminating in a Reiki Master Teacher certification. Susan completed a four year training at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing receiving a diploma in Brennan Healing Science. She has in depth training in yoga and has taught for teacher trainings internationally. After completing a two year training in Soul and Life Force Retrieval at Ligmincha International she helped facilitate Soul and Life Force Retrieval ritual being brought to Chamma Ling Retreat Center in Crestone, CO and received a second certification.
While teaching Reiki to hospital staff Susan learned of the theory of Watson’s Caring Science. Marveling at the congruency between the practice of Reiki and the theory of Watson’s Caring Science she reached out to Jean Watson. A lively and inspiring exchange ensued culminating with the ReikiColorado Academy’s teaching program became endorsed by the Watson Caring Science Institute.
Susan has extensive studies in meditation. In the past 20 years she completed Dathun (month long meditation retreat) and many annual retreats with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, in the Bön lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Susan has attended retreat studies with HH the 34th Menri Trizin Rinpoche, and many other luminaries in Tibetan Buddhism including Khenpo Tenpa YungDrung Rinpoche, Geshe Chapur Rinpoche, Geshe Nyima Kunchap, Geshe YongDong, Geshe Denma Gyaltsen and Khenchen Trangu Rinpoche.
Susan is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, has a diploma in Brennan Healing Science and is among the first 15 laypeople to be certified to perform Soul and Life Force Retrieval ritual in the Bön lineage. She is a guest teacher for hospitals, yoga teacher trainings and UZIT in New York. Susan maintains a private healing practice in Boulder, Colorado and teaches internationally.
To balance out all of her energy practices Susan pursues being in nature, hiking and rock climbing.
