A program of three courses for nurses who are passionate about being nurse educators who embrace a humanistic caring philosophy to student learning.

Continuing Education Credits:
The American Nurses Credentialing Center has approved the course for the award of nursing
continuing professional development contact hours. All students who pass the course (graded pass/fail) will be awarded 32 PD contact hours.
Cost:
$500 CAD, all inclusive, payable upon course enrollment. In addition, students will need the course textbook: Creating a Caring Science Curriculum 2nd Edition (available in the WCSI Caring Store).
About the Program:
Offered by the Global Alliance for Human Caring Education and led by its founding director, each of these self-paced courses will guide you in:
- Four weeks of guided self-paced content
- Weekly assigned readings of course text (Creating a Caring Science Curriculum: A Relational and Emancipatory Pedagogy for Nursing)
- Weekly Reflective Learning Activities
- Weekly dialogue in a Discussion Forum with peers and facilitator
About the Courses:
- Module 1 – Foundations of Caring Science Pedagogy and Curriculum Development (pre-requisite for Modules 2 & 3)
- Module 2 – Caring Science Pedagogy
- Module 3 – Caring Science Curriculum Development

- How your beliefs and values influence your Caring Science pedagogy and curriculum development
- How to teach from your Caring Science pedagogical framework
