Dr. Lisa Flack is currently the Director of the Baldwin Nursing Program and Associate Professor of Nursing at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. She received her BSN at Hartwick College and her MSN and Doctor of Nursing Science in Nursing Education and Leadership at The Sage Colleges. Her dissertation work on “Translating Research into Nursing Practice: The Effect of Point-of- Care Technology upon Nurses’ Clinical Judgment” earned her a Broughton Fellowship Award for excellence in research.
Dr. Flack has been actively involved in nursing academia and curriculum development for over 25 years. She started at Siena College in 2015 and developed the program and caring science curriculum of the new RN to BS program that was approved through the NYS Board of Regents and Office of Professions in 2016. Prior to joining Siena College, Dr. Flack taught nursing at both the associate and bachelor level of nursing and was the Director of the Russell Sage College Nursing program.
As a post doctorate scholar with Jean Watson’s Caring Science Institute, she will be researching the effect of a caring science curriculum upon nurses caring behaviors.
