Dr. Jean Watson has been nominated and chosen to be included among Women in Global Health’s 100+ Outstanding Women Nurses and Midwives! To celebrate 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife, Women in Global Health in partnership with WHO, UNFPA, the International Confederation of Midwives, and Nursing Now, has selected notable nurses and midwives doing extraordinary work in their field and communities.
Out of over 300+ nominations from around the world, congratulations on being a part of this list of women representing 43 countries, and 6 global regions. Jean’s accomplishments and dedication will be celebrated and shared by Women in Global Health and our partners, to recognize the work of nurses and midwives everywhere, and to improve gender equity among nurses and midwives through our call to action.
