Boulder, CO – July, 2022 — Watson Caring Science Institute proudly announces the launch of The Watson Caring Science Lotus Recognition, a way to celebrate and showcase Caring Science in your system!
This distinction offers organizations and managers a simple yet profound framework with which to inspire, educate, and honor their most important and valuable resource – people! Working within Watson’s Caring Science framework potentiates self-healing, compassion, renewal, purpose and meaning.

WHAT — The Lotus Recognition has been created to celebrate real life examples of the values, philosophy, and practices guided by Watson’s Caring Science.
WHO — Designed for groups within hospitals, care homes, or other caring mission-led organizations such as units, departments, identified practice areas, or program levels within an organization. It is not for individuals.
RECOGNIZE — This distinction serves to recognize a group within your organization or system that embraces Watson’s Caring Science culture by showcasing one or more of the 10 Caritas Processes®.
SHARE — Using our simple online form, share how the project demonstrates a commitment to Watson’s Caring Science philosophy and theory — in short: the practice of loving-kindness within their work.
